Serato Sample, New Instructors, and DJ Technology - Scratch Round-Up Nov 2017

We’re proud to announce the addition of Matthew Law, a DJ/Producer with 15+ years of knowledge under his belt – to Scratch Philly! We’re so elated to have Matt as part of the official #ScratchFam and look forward to working together with him to help continue to push this DJ culture forward, and to create a solid bedrock for our community in Philadelphia, and beyond. SALUTE Matt!

Last week, we had the honor of hosting a number of forward-thinking DJ/Production workshops.

Our friend OP from Serato dropped by Scratch Philly to highlight the capabilities of Serato Sample (1st pic, above). The turn-out was spectacular (2nd pic, above), everyone that attended the workshop left inspired and ready to chop up samples of their own.

Our NYC and Philly locations also played host to the DJ Workshop Tour 2017 – held by Roland and BPM Supreme. The tour is focused on the DJ-505 and DJ-202 controllers, which provides DJs with a built-in step sequencer that brings infinite possibilities to your mixes.

Performances were handled by DJ Mell Starr and Cosmo Baker + DJ D-Ill, respectively – with our friend Recloose (above, at our NYC location) hosting events across the nation.
